Dutch Hot Pot

My Mother-n-Law, Sandy had found this recipe in a cookbook from Pea Soup Anderson’s a long time ago. She has been making it for over 40 years. I now love to make it for my family.

1 Ham Steak Slice

4-6 Potatoes

1/2 diced Onion

1/2 c. Butter

1/4 c. Milk

Salt & Pepper

Boil peeled potatoes and drain. Add cooked potatoes, 1/4 c. of butter, milk and salt & pepper to a large bowl and mash until creamy. Butter inside of casserole dish. Saute onions and 1/4 c. of butter until translucent. Add half of the mashed potatoes to the dish. Then spread the ham cubes over potatoes and the onion mixture. Add the remaining potatoes and smooth. Bake at 350º for 30 mins.
